Pumping up my A/W wardrobe

Since coming back from holiday,  I've been systematically casting my eye through the rails of all my favourite shops to try and make a few, selected A/W purchases to take me through the winter. This year I am looking for forever-buys: great staples that I will wear again and again in the years.  So far I bought a white Elizabeth and James t-shirt (really has the perfect fit), a Zara black skirt that looks more like Miu Miu  and a pair of See by Chloe flat boots that I predict will be my best friends throughout pres days in the rain. I have my eye on one more thing... maybe I will buy it and wear it at LFW...

Cos top, Whistles leather jacket, Zara skirt, Chanel bag, Miu Miu ballerinas, Crumpet scarf

I am really excited about these boots.. I can't wait to wear them with a pair of black, tapered, to the ankle trousers and a tunic top a la Jil Sander... Still looking for those affordable trousers though. Watch this space.

Great item Laura. I was waiting for you to do an A/W update! Could you please do an article on leather boots? I'm trying to decide between heels or flat, black or brown etc. Maybe you could show us some high street options. Thanks , Kate.

Ho una gonna di Zara di una stagione passata molto simile alla tua. Mi hai dato uno spunto carino per darle una nuova dimensione in un outfit semplice ma di gusto come il tuo. Grazie!

I've spent the last four months looking for a perfect pair of tapered, black trousers.

Hopefully, our search will soon pay off! :0)

Tunic tops are really having a fashion moment, aren't they?

I love the boots too! I can see myself wearing them loads in the winter when it's rainy and horrible and all I want is warm feet. Heads up: I'm a 39 but I bought a 38.5 because they come up a bit small. x

This is perfect! I am going to attempt something similar (but will probably fail miserably) haha xx
