J.Crew ships to the UK!

You are probably all familiar with J.Crew, the american brand that has the most gorgeous selection of "basics with a twist": cool chinos, bright coloured knits, sparkly accessories and just about the coolest CEO in the world: Jenna Lyons. To celebrate the fact that as of this August they will start shipping to the UK, I am wearing my new fluro pink cashmere sweatshirt paired with neutral shoes and pants (for the moment from Net a Porter- click on the pink link to buy).

I am ridiculously excited about being able to shop for J.Crew online and slightly worried about what it may do to my bank account.. Here is what's on my shopping list:

From the moment I saw this pocketed maxi skirt at the GAP s/s press day last year I knew it had to be mine. Since then I've featured it in my April shoot, tweeted about it when it finally hit the stores, wore it as a "going away" outfit the day after my wedding and rocked it virtually every day during my all-White honey moon. Now it's time to make it work in my everyday wardrobe, so I'm pairing it with military green T-shirt and leather jacket for a rock'n roll feel.

Starry trend

Star prints is a huge trend next season and I'm totally buying into it. On my shopping list is a star print scarf, silk top, maybe a dress and this dreamy Dolce e Gabbana oversize clutch that I'm wearing to film the next slot of Red's "Can I wear this". Run to work

Do you ever have one if those days were all you want to get from your outfit is total comfort? When this is the case I reach out for my "genie" trousers and one of my American Apparel grey marl tshirts. Now I'm ready to start the week.

And here she is! Well worth waiting six months for. Navy, calf leather with silver hardware. Today I'm literally letting the bag do all the talking and simply wearing it with jeans, a white tshirt and ballerinas. I was thinking that this is the in-discussible power of a classic bag: it goes with everything and does all the work for you.

Heirloom

Today I am wearing a very special dress that was made and worn by my granny. Everyone has something special in their wardrobe that reminds them of someone special and it's so nice to bring it back to life by wearing it. She looked so pretty in this dress and she had no idea of what I meant when I told her she looked "very Marni" in it. X

September issue of Red out now!

As all of you magazines lovers, I can't wait for a September issue. I am particularly excited about Red's brand you September issue because I've been working very hard at making the shopping section really exciting for all Red readers. Shoe extravaganza day 7

Final day of my shoe extravaganza! It's been an entire flats version so next time I will be back with 7 days on heels. I'm finishing off with my neon pink mesh ballerinas which have a slight sporty feel to them, so I'm pairing them with my favorite Petit Bateau sweatshirt and drawstring Joseph trousers (pic coming soon).

I promise I was going to wear heels today.. but then the rain happened (again) and I couldn't bare it! So my COS dress and Prada belt had to see a dress down with these spotty ballerinas from Top Shop. I bought them last year for a little bit of Marni for less ;-)

Back on my feet!

Today it's another cheapy, with my beloved River Island strappy sandals. These have been ha hit in the Red office ever since Lucy wore them in tan. Almost all of us girls in the office now own a pair and I opted for a pair of go-with-anything black.
