Personal shopper on the high street

This week end my "little" cousin was in London visiting so as I do with all my sisters we went on a Saturday afternoon shopping spree. I always love taking my girls shopping and it's also a great chance for me to see what's in the shops and sometimes bag something of my own! We hit the road and found some fab things in Oasis (leopard print jacket), KG (navy blue glitter ballerinas) and much more.. Here's a little diary of our day out.

OUR FAVOURITE BUYS:

TIPS WHEN YOU GO SHOPPING:
  • Wear easy to get-off/put-on clothes and shoes
  • Avoid sunglasses, scarf or accessories you can forget in the changing rooms
  • Always wear a little make up (changing room mirrors/lighting can be unforgiving)
  • Wear an across-body bag so you are hands free
  • Stop shopping half an hour before you get too tired... cloudy thinking is no good
  • Don't overthink things.. you can always try at home and return later!

WIT-Loves...

From now on every last Friday of the month, I want to bring you a designer that you may not have heard of before. These will be smaller business that I love, trust and would recommend to build up your wardrobe, add a little something new or that you should simply know about.  First up for WIT-Loves is the gorgeous Chinti and Parker.

I absolutely love this brand because of it's simple and chic capsule-wardrobe approach to fashion and it's impeccable fabric quality. I can always trust they will  have beautifully cut T-shirts, soft cashmere jumpers and all the "layerable" pieces I never tire of. Every time I go to their press day I literally want to own everything and live a Chinti life. The ethics and philosophy behind the brand is also a huge bonus for me and a very inspiring concept.  This is a brand for those of you who are looking for simple separates with great quality and durability. Here's a little info about it...

Today I am wearing a Chinti and Parker  navy cashmere round neck jumper. It is a net-a-porter exclusive and will go on sale mid November.

NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!! Click below

Here are some more of my other Chinti favourites which you can buy online on www.chintiandparker.com  or at Net-a-porter by clicking HERE

No wonder my style crush loves Chinti too...

Tights are back on

Oh yes, tights are back on after attempting to resist through almost all of October. So which ones to choose and more importantly which ones will last throughout the season? Here is my little guide to the essential hoisery capsule wardrobe, the ones I've tried, tested and loved.  I will be stocking up my tights draw (with a little scented sachet) with these essentials.

My number one are FALKE. They are expensive but they look great and some pairs I have literally owned for years. All you need is:

x2 navy
x2 black
x1 grey

I would opt for:

Falke Pure Matte 100 Denier Opaque Tights, Black and Navy
Falke Cotton Touch Tights, Black and Navy
Falke Soft Merino Tights, Black, Grey or Navy

You can shop for Falke tighs online at Net-a-Porter HERE
or at John Lewis HERE
