First wear

I'm out shooting today so I took advantage of lovely photographer Phill Taylor (take a look at his blog here http://philltaylorblog.blogspot.com/) to take my pic today. Remember this post on January the 9th? I'm wearing my new Maje trousers, I had them altered so they sit just on my ankle and I love them. Will update later with some more behind the scene pics but in the mean time you can come on twitter to see what I'm up to @WITblog

Day to nigh dress

Today I've got a busy day: morning meeting, office, more meetings, lunch date, press days and a birthday party tonight so I needed an outfit to take me through the whole day in gorgeousness and comfort. I love my Joseph polka dot dress and it always does the trick. I will be dressing it down with my Top Shop brogues and MUlberry bag for the day, then switch to killer jewelled heels this afternoon and finally accessorize with by Prada earrings, a coat of lipstick and my hair up tonight. Done!

A fine knit

I've taken a long week end off from WIT  but I'm back at work today wearing one of my absolute wardrobe favourite: a simple grey marl fine knit sweater. I think it's one of the most versatile buys you can have in your wardrobe- I love pairing it with something a bit glam to dress my outfit down or dressing it up with a sparkly necklace. It's cool, simple and I believe it's a new classic every woman should have in her wardrobe. No wonder it's the foundation of Isabel Marant's wardrobe and catwalk collections.

I need your help!

It's cold and I need to cheer myself up! Ever since I saw these beauties on my very stylish friend twitter page,  I've been obsessing over these neon sandals. I'm picturing hot summer days, neutrals to pair them with, perfectly glossy beige toe nail polish to show them off with... but I'm really thorn.. fuschia or tangerine? Flat or wedge? That's where I need your help! I love flats but then the wedge style looks really comfy too..

French Connection coat, Cos top, MiH jeans, New Look boots

Which ones would you go for?

Matches has the wedge version in orange AND pink...

The Outnet

I was chatting to a good friend of mine in Italy yesterday and mentioned she should try and look for a fabulous evening dress on The Outnet, but was surprised when she asked me what it was... silly of me because why would she? The Outnet is quite big in the UK/US and for Net-a-porter lovers but most of my friends wouldn't necessairly know a thing about it. So in case you didn't I present you with... The Outnet! It's the outlet version on Net-a-porter with past season stock at discounted prices, so a little bit like the outlets on the net. I've had a little look myself to find 10 of the best everyday buys below £150- here they are and I hope you like them!

How about a touch of Red?

Wearing a little touch of red always cheers me up! My Zara coat was such a great buy and since then I always keep an eye out for great red bits to add to my collection, so last night I had a look on netaporter to find some amazing buys. Love all these great little buys for day or night to inject a bit of colour to your outfit.

I've been on a serious round of appointments today (hence the late post). It's freeezing out there so I've wrapped up nice and warm with my favourite Joseph grey coat and belted it with my black leather double wrap belt. My Chanel biker boots, accross-the-body bag and a coat of red liptick completed the look.

buy now... wear on the beach!

I know it may seem like a weird time to be buying summer wear, but the sales is actually the perfect time to bag those item which you will need in six months time and will then be at full price. I always buy a chic one piece or a colorful bikini from the sales that I couldn't generally afford at full price. I love the white one piece from Karla Colette usually £290 now £87 will look great with a tan. Or the classic black Melissa Odabash Costa Rica bandeau bikini Was £160   Now £64. In my dreams is the Heidi Klein bow bikini down to £139 from £198!

New Look jacket, Cos top, French Connection scarf and trousers, Jimmy Choo ballerinas, Chanel bag.

My swimwear-sale buying tips are:
  • Make it a treat- go for a designer piece that you would never afford full price
  • One pieces are just as good as evening wear at a pool party, so opt for something a bit on the fabulous side.
  • If in doubt buy a size too big- nothing worse than constrictive swimwear
  • Make a box in your cupboard and label it S/S- save all the new things you bought for the first day of spring. It will be like discovering a whole new wardrobe I promise!

All swimming costumes above are from the sale section of Net-a-porter beach boutique
Other great sale at the moment are on the Heidi Klein website and the Matches website

Also a brand worth watching is Violet Lake who makes beautiful, versatile and practical bikini sets (at affordable prices) - think easy mix-and-match styles in a harmonious color palette for every shape and size.

Crazy about spots

When I bought my green spotty Top Shop trousers back in September I knew I was in for a good buy. I wore them in Paris to the Chanel show and I loved them so much!

At the Chanel show in Paris in September
Unfortunately they sold out really quickly so most of you couldn't get hold of a pair. I was so happy when I took my cousin shopping over Christmas and saw that Top Shop made a second batch, this time in a super stylish navy version. So I bagged a second pair which I love even more.

I tweeted this find and many of you managed to get a pair, so I asked you to send me a photo of how you wore your pair. I loved receiving your pics, so here are some of my favourite WIT readers sporting the fabulous spotty trouser!

Here are some of my favourite spotty finds online now...

(I'm seriously considering buying this dress... Summer weddings, christenings, shower parties? I'm thinking I could dress it down with ballerinas or up with colorful heels. I absolutely love it)
