Here I am one day in March getting ready for my first main fashion shoot now out in the August issue of Red. Pre Fall is all about those fabulous pieces that will be in store from August, not quite winter yet.. but you get a little introduction to the feel and trends for next fall. So here it goes...
I had so many beautiful shoes and accessories in for this shoot - and I obviously couldn't help but trying some on!
These Louboutins are mad but fabulously so!
And this Anya bag actually ended up on my page a few months later on my very own page "Bag now wear later too" see below
Our model arrives and we start on hair and make up...
...whilst next door our set goes up inspired by this beautiful US Vogue shoot that I had on my mood board.
I always make a mood board before a shoot to show my editor and get final approval on everything from lighting to hair and make up.
Talking mood board, here's my "Looks board": I make a selection of all my favorite catwalk looks and then these are called in from press offices from my shoot...
Lauren was my assistant on the shoot, couldn't have done it without her, she did all the call ins and chasing from the baord below and is now getting everything organised in the changing room.
Nails played a big part in the look of the shoot- I had an amazing manicurist on shoot that did over five changes including a bright yellow, chalky blue and vibrant red.
Love this Dior colour!
We are almost ready for shooting, here is an aerial view of the studio with Bruno our photographer and his assistant ready to start snapping.
The fabulous Burberry backless dress...
...with a yellow nail
Here we go!
After a few shots we start putting a story board together to see that the story is running smoothly...
Black or white? Cropped or full length? This board helps us make those decisions...
...whilst our model is having a little fun with a jingle-bells Anya bag!
And here's a little look at the final thing- hope you like it!
