Diary from Paris fahsion week

I got back last night after three fabulous, sunny days in Paris where I've been busy running around between shows and resees. Here are my highlights on this fashion week..

It all starts on Sunday afternoon when I carefully lay on my bed all my favourite clothes. It's hot and sunny in Paris so I'm going for bare legs and summer clothes...

I pack three of my most favourite shoes: Chanel navy silk, Miu Miu navy glitter and Louboutin metallic silver. Already I am setting a colour theme for all my outfits...

Two of my favourite bags: navy Chanel 2.55 and a metallic Luella clutch. Looks like I'm going for navy and green for Paris...
I arrive in Paris and jump in cab to my hotel. Quick shower  and my beauty secret weapon: Bliss Oxygenating 5 Minute Facial. It's a gel like formula that foams on your face and gives you an instant glow. Perfect for my tired Eurostar-skin: bliss triple oxygen energizing mask £39.90

Secret weapon number two is this amazing portable mini-steamer. I always pack it in my suitcase to give my clothes a quick finish (you can buy it from John Lewis Rowenta travel steam brush £34.95)

I'm ready! Wearing my white Marni dress and belt, Luella clutch and Louboutin sandals...

J"adore Paris! Here I am outside the Vanessa Bruno show where I've met up with my Red colleagues...

At the shows and the resees I take lots of notes on my tangerine Smythson note book. I write down what I love and could be good to translate into trend pages in Red...

At the Hermes resee I clock the new Constance bags that come in lots of colours and I decide that it will be the bag of my 40th birhtday. Or maybe sooner ;-)

After a busy afternoon of resees we have a quick pre-dinner drink with Deborah (legs and Isabel Marant dress showing!) and Nazli,  my two lovely Red-team colleagues

Dinner time with the lovely Dior girls at a super cool restaurant called "Derrier". Dinner is yummy and I am exhausted. Tomorrow is Chanel which I can't wait for!

Good morning! I am ready for Chanel in my new Top Shop trousers, Uniqlo silk tank top, Chanel bag and Miu Miu glitter shoes...

The invite is a water and fish illustration so I can't wait to see what Mr. Lagerfeld has come up with this year...

The show is at the. I can't wait to get inside!

... and we are not disappointed! We step into a magical underwater world with Florence and the Machine singing live from inside a shell and the clothes are just DIVINE!

The model line up is amazing and the set just too good for words...

So much so I can't help asking Deborah to take a photo of me by a huge white coral..

Outside the show. I loved the feather skirt and stripy top of this fashionista and the long silk dress of her friend. They looked amazing!

Next we are off to lots of resees. I loved the Dior collaboartion with Anselm Reyle...

And especially this yellow metallic bag...

Quick lunch at Cafe Ruc and then there's a little time for a pit stop at one of my favourite Paris stores: Merci...

Merci has everything from the coolest french fashion brands, to home and interiors...

I end up buying some neon gel pens for my thank you letters...

And the cutest liberty print bracelet with gold medallion that says "Merci". I buy a few as thank you present and a pink one for me...

My "mummy-colleagues" drag be to Bonton which is, by their definition "the Isabel Marant of kids shop". I end up loving it even if I don't have children and take a photo in the 70's original black and white photo booth...

Ciao!

Last show of the day is Paul and Joe and then we head for dinner and early bed time...

Next morning I wake up a bit puffy and tired so I resource to secret weapon number three: Dermalogica Multi-active toner. It's a refreshing toner that instantly reinvigorates the skin..

Next show is Louis Vuitton. It starts bang on time and we are running late so I don't have time to take my photo till later..

The show is simply amazing! We are all seated in circle and when the curtain goes up all the models are sitting on a carousel. There is a general wow moment in the show space...
Here is a short video to give you an idea...

Here I am outside the Ritz about to go to the Valentino resee. I am wearing my Prada dress, Chanel bag and Zara heels..

The Valentino show was my absolute favourite...

The candy coloured lace dresses make me wish I could get married again...

Maybe in this...

Or this...

After this my camera dies so after Stella and Isabel Marant resee and after spotting Uma Thurman, Kate Moss and Giovanna Battaglia having drinks at the Ritz and I head home on the Eurostar...

A few magazine later I'm back at London's King's Cross on the Eurostar and I am home!
Ciao Ciao Paris, see you next season.

:-) have a nice day

LOVE this post!

When did you get those topshop polka dot trousers? They look the same style as the skirt that Kate Middleton bought..

I can't find the trousers on the website and so wondered if they sold out already or were new so not online yet?

I have recently discovered your blog and absolutely love it! Spent a few hours looking back over all your archives. Your time in Paris sounds amazing!

PS - have recently purchased a Joseph toscana gilet (this is how I came across your blog actually as I was searching for ideas on how to wear it!) Love how you have styled all your outfits with your gilet. I look forward to seeing more stylings with your gilet now the weather is turning colder :-)
