Have you been in... Warehouse lately?

Warehouse top £32 and denim culottes £42
I spend a lot of time trawling the net for Wardrobe ICONS - I mean a LOT! From time to time I stumble on a website and I think: "Oh wow! how many nice things!". Last week this website was Warehouse. I've made my purchases from Warehouse in the past (I loved my cashmere jumpsuit this winter), but I don't remember the last time I was actually excited by their collection. There are some amazing pieces on there at the moment: denim dresses, relaxed shirts, boho tops all with a really polished and grown up feel and at super reasonable prices.

I remember going to their press day last season and thinking that the quality and design of their SS collection was really amazing and coveting lots of pieces. Some of them are now in store adnd I wanted to flag them up. I've just ordered the off-the-shoulder Gypsy midi dress £28 (above), the Green trousers £38 and this Ruffle sleeve top £36  for my Summer box. I went through the entire websites (so you don;t have to) and here are my favourite pieces.

WIT mama Friday: countdown to Summer with Sporter

For those of you that have followed WIT for a while, you will know I'm not big on sport. With the brief exception of a pre-wedding gym obsession to get my arms toned for a strapless dress and my stomach flat for my honeymoon, my daily workout consists of running after Greta and a very active brain slash neurosis that burns more calories than you can imagine.  I may look alright fully clothed, but 15+ years of zero exercise and a pregnancy later nothing is left pointing upwards in my entire body.

I'm jealous of all my friends that do yoga, pilates and all sorts of exotic sounding workouts, they talk to me about the physical and mental benefits of exercise but I never really do anything about it despite it being my New Year's resolution for the last ten years.  So, when Net a Porter approached me to try out some of their sports wear and try a class at hot new spinning club Psycle I thought to myself that fashion may be the only way to get me to do sport!

What to wear for a spinning work out?? I was clueless and therefore very thankful to the super organised Sporter shopping section on Net-a-Porter that listed everything by sport rather than by item: this way if you are an amateur like me you actually know what to look for. I opted for what I know best: Adidas by Stella McCartney, all black - I wanted to make sure I would blend in rather than stand out.

I have to admit that that that I had never worn "techie" fabrics before (Adidas by Stella McCartney's leggings and top are crafted using the label's Climalite technology - to wick sweat away from the skin and keep you cool), they are made of a scuba-like fabric that makes you feel amazing.

The cut and seams are really flattering and the fabric's quite thick which "suck you in" and hold everything in place. Could I wear this outfit outdoors!??

The class is really fun and energetic, you get given special shoes that clip on to your bike and you spin in the semi-dark to the rhythm of loud dance music. Sadly I'm so unfit I couldn't even finish the class (I blame it on the fact that I had a cold...) but I did love my outfit, and as my friend says: "Summer bodies are built in the winter" so I might have to stick to this.

Adidas by Stella McCartney hooded top £90

Adidas by Stella McCartney tank £65

Adidas by Stella McCartney leggings £70

Shock Absorber £31

Nike trainers £85

Marc by Marc Jacobs headphones £55

My London Fashion Week looks on a budget

Last season I didn't attend London Fashion Week as Petro and I were chained to our desks trying to get Wardrobe ICONS ready for launch, so I was really looking forward to being back this season. As most of you know I hadn't planned to be out of my flat for such a long time and back in October when we moved out I didn't pack any "London Fashion Week Worthy" clothes (so gutted when I think about all my beautiful things locked up in some storage out of London!).  Luckily for me we partnered up with Harvey Nichols who let me road test a few outfits to wear at the shows.

Despite having no budget restrictions I didn't go completely mad and managed to stick to relatively low price points like my Isabel Marant Etoile top at £160 and the Alice and theMiH jenas Marrakesh flares at £235 , but most of the other things I wore were really expensive so today I thought I would highlight some of the items I loved on a lower price point. Don't miss The ICONS Update though where you can find links of all the original items I wore.

WIT mama Friday: denim for our mini me's

I've only recently started to buy into denim for Greta, I guess it's a more "grown up fabric" that up to now I hadn't really considered, yet paired with glittery accessories (and a touch of Liberty print) it's one of my favourite combination. Today Greta and I are spending a day together with our cousin visiting from Italy and we are both wearing, as she puts it: "something jeans". She is really starting to notice what I wear often saying cute things like: "Mamma come sei bella!" (mamma you look so beautiful!"). Despite having tried I can't quite get myself to give to dungarees, so I;m wearing my new pair of distressed jeans from Day, but she looks dreamy in her Gap pair...

Cashmere and culottes

Boden jumper, Chanel bag, Coast culottes, J.Crew shoes
These Coast culottes I bought last season have been such a great buy - there is something so easy and comfortable about trousers that don't cling to your leg. I have days where I just want clothes to hang on me and culottes totally do that. I know many of you are still unsure about them but here are a few tips on how to wear them from last year's "Unexpected Hero" page we did in The ICONS Update.

Tailored boho

I have a cold, a cough and a sore throat so for today only I will be dressing weather appropriately with flat ankle boots and socks ;-) I have a busy day of shooting today (come and see what I'm to on Insatagram) and I've started the day in a super good mood because we've had a terrific mention in Stylist magazine this morning... Check it out!

How to wear a red bag

Gap shirt, Joseph gilet, Marks and Spencers trousers, J.Crew shoes, Smythson bag
Of all bright colours, I find a red bag the most neutral and versatile of all. Think about it: it goes beautifully with all neutrals such as navy, whites, beige's and black without screaming "Colour!" and works equally well with greens, blues and pinks (love a colour clash). I've had my Smythson red bag for years now and I never tire of it.

Smythson red bag
Once you've build a capsule collection of great day bags in black, navy and neutrals do think about a red bag because you will get a lot more wear out of it than you think.

This was partly the subject of one of our features in this week's issue of The ICONS Update - Petro and I looked at the most amazing and covetable bags there are and realised that many of them were infact red. Have a look at it and see what you think - our cover star this week is nothing less than the amazing Caroline Issa so lots of juicy reads for you to enjoy at your next break.

My afternoon at the Filippa K. Fenwick pop up store

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited by Filippa K. to pay a visit to their newly launched pop up store in Fenwick, one of my favourite department stores in London, to review the collection and try on some pieces for myself. I always love it when I get the opportunity to do things like this because it gives me the chance to get up close and personal with brands and often enough fall in love with something a little bit unexpected.

I am obviously familiar with Filippa K. the scandi brand famous for it's super sleek and minimalistic design, but I had never had the opportunity to see the collection as a whole and try things on in such lovely surroundings. I went through each item one by one, everything I touched was of exquisite quality, perfect cuts and with a timeless feel. I loved their range of classic silk buttoned up shirts, oversize knitwear and tailored trousers, all of which had a reasonable price tag attached. Their simple long sleeved T-shirts are made of the softest cotton and with a great loose fit.

I fell in love with a super simple, light grey button up coat - I am always drawn to quality wardrobe staples and this one was no exception.  If you are looking for classic wardrobe pieces with a fashion edge, definitely get down to Fenwick before the pop up store closes on the 28th of February. I brought my friend and photographer Eva K. Salvi with me to take some photos along the way, and  to create a little photo diary whilst I looked through the rails and finally decided what to take with me into the changing rooms.

Here we go!

With spring approaching I love to inject a little bit of colour to my outfits - I love this lemon yellow jumper

I can't get enough of chunky sweaters and this one also comes in navy

This grey coat was probably my favourite pice - simple, classic forever.

Wide leg trousers are definetely having a come back - this black pair looked and felt amazing on

Some of my favourite pieces

The Filippa K. pop up store in Fenwicks is now opened until the 28th February
