Unexpcted good buys

This Zara coat has been a great unexpected buy, one of those I haven't spent a fortune on and that from time to time I pull out and think: "this was a great purchase!".  I would usually say to invest in a grey, camel and black coat but a pop adding a pop of colour  to your array of winter cover-ups it's definetly worth it. A stand out colour like my red coat brightens up any outfits and is something you can integrate int your SS wardrobe too.

Marrakesh love

I love my Made in Heaven Marrakesh jeans and simply can't get enough of them. Today I'm wearing them with my Prada bejeweled knit t-shirt and Chanel bag. They are much more than a jean, more  like a chic, smart tailored denim.  This cut flatters all body shapes by skimming the hips and elongating the leg.

WIT Wedding Wednesdays: Where to find inspiration part two

Welcome back to my second WIT-Wedding Wednesdays post!

This week's WWW is part two of  my favorite sources of inspiration. I save all the images I love in categorised files on my desktop (dress, flowers, hair, make up, bridesmaids etc..), this way I am building my own little image library of fabulous inspiration.  If you've missed part one one, click here and see you next week for a special beauty post.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
Photographer's website are a great source of inspiration and often have beautiful blogs too.  Here are my favorites (book soon because they get booked months in advance)

BRIDEMAIDS
If you have more than one, high street is the way! I've been collecting dresses from some of my favourite high street stores as well as trawling the internet for sales and bargains

LITTLE ONES
Little ones look so cute in just about anything, so don't spend a fortune. I got all my flower girls cream crochet and tulle dress from Monsoon, which has an adorable selection that ranges from 3 months to 13 years.

SHOES
Designer is the way. I'm having mine specially made at Christian Louboutin.. but more on this in a future special post

LINGERIE
As soon as you get engaged, decorate a beautiful box and start buying beautfiul lingerie which you will start wearing as a married woman. Stock up on sale times for great bargains! Here are some of my favourite

Crisp update

A crisp cotton white shirt or blouse looks great with heavy wool separates and thick matt tights. Today I'm wearing one of my favorite Marni skirt and pairing it up with a forgotten Zara top- lucky that my office is really warm, so a cosy coat does the job from home to my desk!

Today I've been on the set of my April shoot all day. I had the best time and everything went so smoothly. Model was great, hair and make up impeccable and the fabulous David Thompson worked his usual magic. At the end of the day he offered to take a picture of me, so here I am with some of this season stylist-must have accessories... a bulldog clip and fabric de-fluffer. How glamorous!

The Bargainstas- Thank you Stella!

On Sunday the lovely Asling McCloy from The Telegraph's Stella magazine, wrote an article about  fashion "bargainistas" and as an outlets lover, I was asked to be one of her case studies. A "bargainista" I surely am and I LOVE a bit of designer at discounted prices.  Some of my favorite and most worn  clothes are infact Prada, Marni and Balenciaga's at a fraction of the price, like the skirt, shoes and jacket that you've seen me worn time and time again...

My outlets best buy: Balnciaga navy blazer as seen on WIT

WIT-Wedding Wednesday: Where to find inspiration

So far, I haven't talked about my "bridal-status" much because I think it's every woman's little private  world. But then when I started to plan my wedding I realised there are so many fashion, beauty and style aspects that I was dying to share with all WIT readers and, more specifically, 2011 brides. So here comes the idea of WIT-Wedding Wednesdays with your own fashion editor's tips and insider knowledge. I will be testing out beauty treatments, talking to the experts, trying on LOTS of dresses and  and much, much more.

This week's WWW is all about my favorite sources of inspiration. I love sitting on my couch after a long days' work and scrawling through the Internet in search for images that inspire me. I save all the images I love in categorised files on my desktop (Dress, flowers, hair, make op, bridesmaids etc..), that way you will have your own database of fabulous inspiration. I think you  (and I) will find great inspiration from this list.  See you next Wednesday and enjoy!

Biker chic

Think of a skinny leather pant like denim: wear it with t-shirts, sweatshirts and trainers or "rock" it up  with high heeled pumps and a soft cashmere jumper. As Carinne would say "chic, with an edge".

Lipstick Jungle

Lipstick is making a huge come back next season, Jil Sander and DVF models sported hot pink  statement lips whilst Marni and Gucci went for tangerine matt and high gloss hues. I had a little fun of my own and tried some of my favorite shades. Whatever you do, keep the rest of your make up simple and remember to matt it down with some tissue.

From the top right, here are some of my favorite shades:

1- Pink Mac Lipmix
2- Gloss Philosphy tubes
3- Berry Nars Shanghai Express
4- Orange Mac Morange
5- Red Nars Red Lizard
6- Natural Lipfusion matt pencil

An ode to Emmanuelle

It was big news last week when news were confirmed that Emmanuelle Alt was appointed as the new Editor of French Vogue. I absolutely love her french-cool look and today I am pairing her signature skinny black pant with a bit of Chanel to celebrate her rock'n roll new position.

Lunch time shopping anyone?

I waited till lunch to uploaod today's post as I want to know what you've been up to at lunch time. I love a little lunch time shopping and usually head out for a short walk even if I'm not buying anything. Selfridges is one of my favorite places, you will find me by the make-up counter trying on a new shade of lipstick, browsing shoes I can't afford in the brand new shoe department or, like today, flicking through wedding magazines for inspiration...

Come on twitter and send me pics of what you've bought at lunch time http://twitter.com/
