Leather skinny and happy holiday!

It's my last day in the office in the comfort of my new HM leather skinnies paired with a soft cashmere roll neck. 

From tomorrow, WIT is going on holiday and coming back in the New Year with lots of surprises... but who knows, I might do a special Christmas and New Year post! In the mean time, thank you for all your support this year and wishing you all  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

When it comes to party fabrics, lace is top of the list. The great thing is, this season it's huge on the catwalk and has also been picked up (and done beautifully) on the high street. For a day in the office, I am dressing my lace top down, but for party time I've compiled a wish list of my favorite internet buys, all available online now.

Party tricks

 

Party season is upon us and this week I thought I would talk about all my favorite party tricks.  Number one on the list is how to transform a work look into an evening look. Start with a basic outfit of skirt, top and flats- add an eye catching  accessory (my Prada necklace will do the job), a bold  bit of make up (Nars red lizard is perfect) and a pair of sky high heels. Now are good to go!

Sportswear chic

 

Another early start, another day on set. Today I am playing one of my favorite stylist tricks and mixing everyday casual wear with a touch so sporty chic. It could be a belted parka, a drawstring trousers with a soft cashmere jumper or, as I am doing today, a slick coat with a hoodie underneath. My new shoes are a bit like Marmite, you either LOOOVE them or really loath them and I've loved seeing how passionately you do both!

The pefect flare

 

This season is seeing the come back of an old time favorite, the flare. If you are looking for the perfect pair, look no further than Made in Heaven which is now also available online. Mih jeans are made of the softest denim and have a majorly flattering fit. Try to believe.

This morning I got up bright an early to go to the much awaited for Christian Louboutin sample sale. Snow and freezing weather didn't stop me from cueing outside to grab my share of red-soled heaven. I've just come bag with 3 great styles, all mad and all so Louboutin!

Snow bunny

I love it when it snows! It is also the perfect weather to pile on all of my favorite furry gear. I am particularly in love with my new French Connection leopard print jacket which, at £120, is a fantastic bargain. I'm wearing it with a stripy jumper for that perfect clash look.

Today it is absolutely freezing so I'm all cosy in my vintage fur coat, denim and Uniqlo cashmere. My secret weapon is Heat Tech Uniqlo undergarment body warmers. I wear leggigns and tops under everything I wear throughout the winter. Saviours..

I am back in Florence to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. Here I am playing tourist ovelooking beautiful Ponte Vecchio. I am slightly overdressed for the occasion but still love my Reiss coat!

City comfort

Some days I know I'm going to be running around town all day and I'll just want to be warm and comfortable throughout the day. Flat boots and a statement coat do the trick and that's exactly what I'm rocking today. Simple, chic yet warm and comfortable.

A WIT first..

During press days last week, I did a short interview with the lovely Rachel from the Dorothy Perkins press office to chat about their SS collection. It was one of the best high street shows I've seen so far and I'm really excited about the product I've called in for my RED March pages.  Waiting for the issue to be out, here's the link to the video, which is a first for WIT as I have a voice for the very first time! What I wore at the week end..

Since I'm at home and not very well today, I thought I would post a pic of what I wore at the week end. I went to a fabulous wedding of two great friends of mine and wore a Capucci dress from the 1970's. I found it in my mother's wardrobe before the summer and had it altered so it would fit me. I put my hair up in a simple chignon with a diamante feather in the hair. 

I will post better pics later on, but anything is better than what Im wearing today...

Friday's off and shopping time

Ever wondered what a fashion editor's working week is like? This week I am making the most of my IPhone and posting a photo from out and about. 

Today I took a day off to take my mum shopping  and also for some pre wedding party beauty treatments. I am going to one of my favorite spa's in London, Beauty Works West, to get a state of the art mani and pedi to go with my scarlet dress tomorrow evening... but on the way I had to stop at DVF and try this dreamy dress!
