N4 - The Colour Block Swimsuit

It's holiday season and it got me thinking: what are those chic, gorgeous, must-haves we should all posses when packing for a beach holiday? In the next seven days comes my countdown of fabulous no-regret buys. Fourth up, the colorful one piece.

 

J.Crew Ruched bandeau tank £70

It is only in the last couple of years that I've started loving one piece swimsuits, it must be an age thing as I won't lie: it hides a multitude of sins, especially when you''re still working on your tan and it calls for your first swimwear appearance! A black one is a wardrobe staple, but finding a colour that really suits you and owning one in a bright summer colour is the next step forward. This year I bought a red one in Monoprix in Paris, as I couldn't find a decent maternity one piece that didn't have huge polka dots, horizontal deck chair stripes or terrible floral motives. Block colours always look more expensive and my ultimate goal is to own an Eres one, they are pricey but designed on a woman's body and are incredible flattering. J.Crew also carries a fab selection of one pieces and I love this scarlet strapless style.

Perfect pool side glam look: beach hair, a coat of lipstick and oversize sunnies.

It's holiday season and it got me thinking: what are those chic, gorgeous, must-haves we should all posses when packing for a beach holiday? In the next seven days comes my countdown of fabulous no-regret buys. Third up, the panama hat.

Accessorize Paper Braid Trilby £15.00

I have a rule when it comes to a summer hat: it's got to be cheap. Don't get me wrong, I would love a fabulous Parachuti one, but too many times it has flown in the sea or I've left it on the seat of the restaurant for it to be a precious buy. My favorite style  is a simple straw hat with a chic black ribbon, Accessorize always carries a great selection and it's exactly what I've packed in my suitcase for this holiday. Packing tip: stuff it with socks/underwear and place in between cotton clothes for it not to squash or brake.

N2 - The Beach Cover-up

It's holiday season and it got me thinking: what are those chic, gorgeous, must-haves we should all posses when packing for a beach holiday? In the next seven days comes my countdown of fabulous no-regret buys. Second up, the beach cover up.

Joseph Sally striped cotton-jersey dress £135

I'm not one for sheer fabrics, beading and kaftans so I had to come up with my own version of the perfect beach cover up. I've found it in jersey maxi dresses, a crisp white oversize buttoned-down shirt and lightweight cotton tunic dresses. Of the lot, the latter is one of the most versatile: it doesn't crease, it packs light and can take you from beach to cocktails in style and comfort. I own several styles in different colours but nothing says sea side more than a chic stripe so I'm always sure of packing at least one.

Light, easy to pack, goes with anything and fits all your beach bits and bobs, I would love one and think it would look great over my shoulder paired with an oversize shirt and bikini look. Price is not so bad either considering it would become my forever beach bag. I love Tory Burch, have you seen my spread in this months Red about her holiday must pack essentials? Truly gorgeous. TB is she's such a great  holiday go-to brand, and I love this beach bag.
