Shop my Net-a-Porter shoot

For those of you that remember, I had a fabulous shoot day with Net-a-Porter back in September and the feature is now live. Throughout the day I Instagrammed a few shots, from my house and some from my swanky location van, all of this as we drove around London to shoot in the various locations that are part of my life.

Previously to the shoot I got to choose from Net-a-Porter all the things I wanted to wear (no, sadly I didn't get to keep any of them...) and on the day I was like a kid in a candy shops surrounded by all my favourite things in the world!

I wore so many beautiful things, virtually all of which I wanted to buy. Especially the By Malene coatigan (looks so smart on and such a useful thing to own in between seasons) and this Alice and Olivia metallic pleated skirt... I promise you I could find a million ways to wear it day or night!

So today I thought I would bring all of the items I wore at our fingertips... it's been so tempting to look at them all over agin I will let you guess which one has made it into my shopping basket!

Best red lipstick of all time

I know I've done a few of these posts before but I still constantly get asked about the shade of lipstick I'm wearing and there is a new entry in my new favourites so today I thought I would give you a little update on my lipstick tray.

Lipstick: MAC Lipstick Matte

Shade: Lady Danger

Price: £15.50

Buy it

Consistency: matte and I promise you it won't come off for a whole day! l highlight cracked lips.

Why I love it: it's probably my favourite lipstick of all time and the only one I have ever finished and had to re-buy. It's the most durable lipstick I own - I suggest moisturising your lips the night before as otherwise it will highlight cracked lips.

Lipstick: Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colour

Shade: Atomic Orange

Price: £25

Consistency: creamy and moisturising (I like to blot it with a tissue once I applied it to take out a bit of sheen)

Why I love it: the name says it all, it's a super bright yet very wearable shade of orange. Perfect in the summer but also in winter with white knitwear and soft greys.

Lipstick: NARS Velvet Matte Lip

Shade: Red Square

Price: £19

Consistency: Matte but soft

Why I love it: I discovered this shade after Jenna Lyons revealed it to be her favourite shade of orange and I am now addicted to it too. It's a really good red-orange shade and I love the pencil applicator that gives me precise application all the time.

Lipstick: HOURGLASS Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick

Shade: Icon

Price: £23

Consistency: Goes on liquid and shiny but dries super matte almost like a stain

Why I love it: It's the absolute perfect berry lip, I love it in the winter and also you apply it once and never have to worry about it again for the rest of the day, even when drinking and eating.

WIT mama Friday: GAP holiday buys

Have you been in GAP lately? I always LOVE their stylish and affordable kids wear (as well as cashmere and jeans for me!) and close to the holidays they always have so many cute things for children. 

So today's WIT mama Friday is also a bit of a "Have you been in... I have a busy day of breakfasts, press days, meeting and more so no time to take my pic today, luckily I'm 'repeat-outftting' and wearing almost this identical look from LFW. No heel heels for me today, so I'm pairing my favourite knit jumper dress (mine is from Chinti and Parker but Boden also does a similar version at a more affordable price - click here for it) with my over the knee boots from Isabel Marant plus, the Stella McCartney cape that I got lots of stick for that has already repaid itself by how much I've been wearing it ;-)
