Jimmy Choo Made to Order service (part one)

At the Jimmy Choo Sloane Street Boutique in the permanent Made to Order installation
One of my most worn shoes ever, and one that I recommend to all my friends who want to build the perfect wardrobe, is the Jimmy Choo black Agnes – it's the perfect pointy court, with a commute-proof 85mm/3.3cm heel that I have often wished I owned in every colour of the rainbow, to match everything I own.

Well, Jimmy Choo has taken this wish several steps forward and launched a new bespoke service called "Jimmy Choo Made-To-Order" that allows you to pick from four classic Choo hero styles (in order below: the Lance, the Anouk, the Xenia and the Tite), custom the heel height and then choose from an array of luxe fabrics including leather, silks, satin and exotic skins in every colour you can think of, all to make up your picture-perfect shoe. And to finish your dream shoe off you can even get your initials (or symbols) added to the back of your soles in gold letters.. My idea of heaven!

Now, it doesn't come cheap (prices start at £475.00), but a special occasion, a big birthday, a fabulous party or your wedding calls for something extraordinary, so I instantly thought that WIT readers (and especially brides to-be) would want to know about this dreamy service. I went in to test it myself and brought my friend and photographer Eva with me to snap away as I browsed the collection and chose my perfect shoe. It was a fairytale experience, here is a little diary from the day...

The Anouuk family in different heel hights and fabrics

Looking through the Made To Order catalougue
Simply adore the gold monogram at the back, such a chic touch!
Decisions decisions. Browsing shoe style options...
... and different fabrics.
You can take the fabrics off the wall...
make your selection...
wrap the fabric swatches around your chosen show style...
and have a play with them to give you real feel of what your design will look like.
You can try on as many styles as you like...
and walk around to see if your chosen style is comfortable...
Taking a good look before I decide on my shoe style..
Could this be what I have gone for?
I won't be revealing which style I went for just yet.. it will be a surprise and all in part two of this post at the end of July. I have given it a lot of thought and went for a style that I will love forever but equally feels special and just me!

The Made-to-order service is available at the Sloane Street boutique

I use to spend a lot of money on my shoes. Sadly due to being extremely heavy footed...my heels seem to scuff and wear down quickly.....I don't have the feet for nice shoes....does anyone have any tips....I'm 5foot 5 and weigh 116lbs so I'm not overweight...my bit toes put holes in canvas shoes as well...;(

I always thought that taking a trip to the store was luxurious enough to grab Jimmy Choos, little do I know about made to order services! I'll stick to Allen Edmonds from now on!
