Where I get my inspiration from

Cos jumper, MiH shirt, Nude jeans, Prada earrings, Jimmy Choo shoes, Other Stories bag
At the week end I was trawling on the Man Repeller (love the brilliant writing and Leandra's cool style) and found this photo of her wearing frayed jeans, a layered men's shirt and heeled courts and found myself totally inspired by her look. I find inspiration for my daily outfits a bit everywhere: my colleagues at Red, a shop window, a shoot in a magazine or a celebrity I love. I pick upon the element that I love, which could be a colour combination, a styling element or a specifi item, and then translate into my own fashion language. And when in the morning I post my outfit, I always hope that WIT does the same for you too xx

I get so much inspiration from blogs - especially yours! Sometimes it can just be that one little element that makes a look stand out from all the others. Lookbooks on my favourite retailer sites are great too. xx

Hi Laura, I am like you – I get a bit of inspiration everywhere including your lovely blog! I'm actually sat at my desk right now with a copy of red mag on my desk (Gwyineth's looking lovely on the cover!).

I've been wearing my shirts like this for a couple of months now in the office with my jumpers - it's a really smart, creative look which suits my job as a senior designer. Plus with feminine heels looks lovely to balance it out. Plus I like how my white shirt cuffs look with my chunky silver watch! It always makes me happy to know I am getting it right if I see you doing similar! x

Great post - I love your take on Leandra Medine's look! Inspiration works the same way for me: certain elements of any random look can inspire me when it comes to fashion.

Love the concept, this is a look I can get behind, just wish your jeans were a darker wash....

Well done Laura! It slightly reminds me of this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_07ZCTLt21Co/SpDyPeT8sjI/AAAAAAAADSs/bGla3ysRdlM/s400/Ann+Hatahaway+with+Chanel+look+in+Devil+Wears+Prada.jpg

I think you look fabulous. I am full of respect for the fact that you can wear heels like that on your' walk to work. My tootsies have been firmly embedded in boots for several weeks now. I think it is country v city living for you. I live in the wilds of Shropshire which, whilst being beautiful, definitely requires a sock/boot combo. H xx
